Ayo Edebiri (/ˈaɪoʊ əˈdɛbəri/ Eye-oh ə-DEB-ər-ee; born Funmilayo Edebiri, October 3, 1995) is an American actress, comedian, and television writer. Since 2022, she has played chef Sydney Adamu in the comedy-drama series The Bear, for which she won a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Primetime Emmy Award, as well as a nomination for a Directors Guild of America Award for directing the episode "Napkins".
